APPEARANCES - Gather 'round, folks...
She signs, She speaks, She teaches

For authors of popular fiction, appearances count.  It's a chance to meet readers and personalize the books we hope they'll enjoy reading.  Bring in your old favorites.  As long as the store doesn't mind, Kathleen is happy to sign them as time permits.

Next Loft Literary Center Classes:

Kathleen has been teaching writing classes at the Loft Literary Center  (downtown Minneapolis) for many years.  "Book In a Month" is a 6-week program, once a week in person class with an e-mail loop for contact betwee meetings for writers who have material in progress and want hands-on group work. Sliding Fee Scale (See Loft web site)

Book-In-A-Month

KATHLEEN EAGLE

1/25/17 – 3/1/17 | Wednesday | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

How long have you been waiting to write that book? Or finish that book? This course is about finally making the commitment to do it! Students will set goals to establish an intensive month-long writing schedule. Your rigorous writing experience will be supported by e-mail check-ins, peer group encouragement and mentorship by two Twin Cities authors who between them have published more than 60 novels. Both instructors have done extensive deadline crunch writing and will help you get into the kind of creative mindset that can accomplish miracles on the written page.  We will do hands-on work with student manuscripts in every session, celebrating achievements and helping to solve story problems that have arisen during the week’s writing. Bring your work-in-progress to the first class. Or if you haven’t started, bring a 1-2 page synopsis of the story you will be writing. We’ll begin with a group brainstorming session that will get you fired up and itching to go home and write!

Beyond Book-In-A-Month

KATHLEEN EAGLE

Wednesdays 6-8 PM

April 13-May 18 2016

We've had requests for a longer run, and we decided to add a second 6-week session so that students can make the financial and time commitment in small chunks. This will be the first offering of this class, and the plan is to focus less on time managemet and more on draft and revision.
